The Timbers at Chama

The Timbers at Chama dons its camouflage gear from mid-September to December with a brief return in the spring, welcoming hunters to one of the best elk habitats in the Rocky Mountains — New Mexico’s famous Unit 4. Whether you prefer the Rocky Mountain bull elk, trophy mule Deer or a the elusive Merriam turkey, the Timbers at Chama provides some of the finest hunting in New Mexico. Every year we welcome back many long-time hunting friends. Recently we acquired the rights to hunt even more private land in Unit 4. We are pleased to offer an expanded calendar of elk hunts again for 2018 and still have a few prime dates open.
