Salmon River Bend Outfitters
Overview
On average bear sightings are 95% - 100%. Our bears are hunted over baits. These baits are checked daily. Having over 100 bait sites and relocating to virgin forest every two years gives hunters the best opportunity of scoring Boone & Crocket. New Brunswick is considered, "The Sleeping Province of Canada", for huge whitetails. It holds the record for the second biggest buck killed in Canada, scoring 199 1/8 net. Having minimal amount of hunting pressure and heavy cover has allowed our deer to reach maturity. Moose hunting is done in late September while the bulls are in full rut. The temperature at this time of year varies between 30° - 40° F early mornings, 50° - 70° F mid-afternoons, and 40° - 50° F late evenings. Early mornings and late evenings are usually the most effective hunting times, as calls seem to carry better at this time. All hunts will be done by tree stand or ground blinds.
