Overview

The Nushagak River King Camp is located in the heart of the Alaska wilderness. All access is by floatplane or boat. There are no roads in this part of Alaska. The Nush River Camp is a throwback to the way fishing trips to Alaska once were, remote, primitive (yet with all the creature comforts) and more fish than you can imagine.

Located near the mouth of the Nushagak River the land The Nush River Camp is on is leased from the Choggiung Native Corporation and is strictly regulated for limited entry. Our respect for the river and it fish is a primary reason we hold one of just of a handful of permits. And also the reason why the huge salmon runs remain dependable and wild.

Nush River Camp is only open for a few weeks in June and July, during the prime time of this bountiful King Salmon run. There is no other river in Alaska, if not the world, that offers more chrome bright, hard-fighting Chinook (King Salmon) than the “Nush.”
