North Country Outfitters

We are located in Jefferson County New York on the East end of Lake Ontario at its juncture with the St Lawrence River just minutes from the Canadian border. The area is steeped in tradition and renowned for its waterfowl hunting. Daily harvests can include Mallards, Black Ducks, Wood Ducks, Teal, Widgeon, Gadwall, Pintails and of course Geese. As the season progresses and temperatures dip thousands of diver ducks head to Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River including Bluebills, Goldeneye, Redheads, Canvasbacks, Old Squaw and Bufflehead.

We hunt from Shore Blinds, Boat Blinds and/or Layout Boats for these species depending on the conditions. Our land and adjacent waterways are scouted consistently every day by our guides. Our goal is to put you on the spot where we have the best opportunity to fill your limit. In the afternoons we offer upland hunting on our licensed shooting preserve for pheasant, grouse and woodcock.
