Sea ducks available in the Kodiak Island Archipelago can be hunted from the bear camps over decoys from the beach. Sea duck species include Harlequin, Barrows and Common Goldeneye, Common and Red Breasted Mergazers, and Bufflehead.
Exceptional sport fishing for silver salmon, rainbow trout, and northern pike is accessible during a Fall moose and brown bear hunt on the Alaska Peninsula. Troll for Kings in salt water, jig for halibut and rock fish, fly fish in streams for steelhead and dolly varden trout before or after your Kodiak or Afognak Island fall hunts. Sport fish for silver salmon from a lodge in Cold Bay before, or after your Unimak Island brown bear hunt. All sport fishing from hunting camps is catch and release, but you can eat as much fish as you would like in camp.
